Enjoying Magnificent Sunset at Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is one of the three islands located on the southeast coast of Bali. This is by far the biggest island out of the three. The other two are Nusa Lembongan (the closest from Bali) and Nusa Ceningan which are located in the middle. In other words, Penida is the farthest from mainland Bali and it is quite close to Lombok.

This island has a total of 200 square kilometers of land area. It is an exotic island with many interesting places to explore. Not only on the island, but the waters around Penida is also very popular among the tourists. You can find Angel Billabong, Atuh Beach, Kelingking Beach, or the manta point. However, enjoying the sunset in Penida is also a great choice.

You don’t even need to go far on the island to enjoy a magnificent sunset view on Penida. Just take a boat ride to Toya Pakeh, the main harbor of the island. You can hop on a boat from mainland Bali, from Ceningan, or from Lembongan. You will most certainly end up in Toya Pakeh. Not too far away from this harbor, you can find some coastal area where the sunset is remarkably amazing. Even though the sun doesn’t set on the sea, but the orchestra of color will leave a lasting impression.

You can enjoy the sunset in many ways. If you really want a totally relaxing atmosphere, you can go to one of the seaside cafes in Toya Pakeh. The good news is that the prices in cafes here are really affordable.

Should you decide to stay on Penida, you might want to explore the island as well. You can do that by renting a scooter or a car in Toya Pakeh. There are lots of agencies that offer this vehicle rental services. The road infrastructure in Penida is relatively good, you can easily get around the island easily. You can visit many popular destinations like Kelingking Beach, Angel Billabong, Atuh Beach, or the iconic Peguyangan Waterfall.
