Muslim Fashion Festival Indonesia (Muffest) 2019

Muslim Fashion Festival (MUFFEST) Indonesia is an annual Muslim fashion event whose aim is to strengthen Indonesia’s economy through the local Muslim fashion industry. MUFFEST is inspired by the vision of Indonesia’s government to make Indonesia as the Muslim fashion center of the world and reinforced by the growth of the local economy. This will be held on 2-5 May 2019 at Assembly Hall 1,2,3 Jakarta Convention Center.

Gelar Batik Nusantara 2019

Batik is recognized as a Masterpiece of Oral Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Gelar Batik Nusantara aims to promote Batik that has been developed rapidly in the last few years. You can see and get many unique and even rare batik cloths at this festival. GBN has been routinely held annually since 1996 by Yayasan Batik Indonesia. This 11th iteration of Gelar Batik Nusantara will be held at Jakarta Convention Center on 8-12 May 2019.

Pesona Khazanah Ramadhan 2019

This is also an annual event but in Arabic moon calendar. This festival is celebrating the holy month of Ramadhan. There are many activities to do during the festival, mainly related to Islam. The best time to enjoy this festival is in the afternoon, about two hours before breakfast. Pesona Khazanah Ramadhan 2019 will be held on 10-18 May 2019 in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Festival Budaya Isen Mulan (FBIM)

FBIM is an annual festival held to celebrate the anniversary of Central Kalimantan Province in May. Isen Mulang means never surrender in Dayak Ngaju language. This festival aims to display and promote cultural diversity in the province, so there will be lots of cultural events held during the festival. FBIM will be held from 18 to 24 May 2019.

Asia Africa Festival 2019

This is an annual carnival to celebrate the Asia-Africa Conference (AAC) that was held in Bandung in 1955. The carnival is celebrating all cultures, be it from Indonesia and from all other participant countries in the original AAC. You can expect colorful outfit and spectacular costumes in this carnival that will be held in Bandung on May 19th.

This is a biannual exhibition held by Indonesia National Gallery (GNI). This is an open exhibition with GNI call all artists to submit their works and they will be selected. The curators will decide which artwork can be exhibited in this event. If you are interested in fine arts, you can still enjoy this exhibition since it is held until May 12th in Galeri Nasional Indonesia.
