Culinary Adventure at Dusun Bambu Bandung
Dusun Bambu is a leisure park intended for families. Located on a mountain slope in Cisarua, Dusun Bambu is a complete park that provides entertainment as well as education, especially for children. This massive resort combines seven aspects of life: Ecology (nature), Education, Economic, Ethology (culture), Ethics, Esthetics (Aesthetics), and Entertainment.
Dusun Bambu does offer lots of great activities for the whole family, but let’s talk about the food here. There are several restaurants and a market where you can enjoy good meals in this park. Here are some of them.
This unique restaurant is located in a special park. You will eat at a tree house that is designed to look like a birds nest and you have to pay IDR100,000 just to book a place in one of these sphere-shaped nests. The nest is easily accessible via a stairway and the place is actually very private.
The food will be delivered to your nest and while you wait, you can have a relaxing chat. This is a great place to eat with your whole family without any distraction or inconvenience. You can pick the capacity of the nest based on the number of people in your group.
Saung Purbasari is a restaurant that faces a small lake, providing a tranquil eating experience. You can get savory Sundanese food in this restaurant. Again, this is a place where you can eat and relax with your family. You will be eating in one of the lakeside cabanas, complete with cushions and pillows. All of your food will be delivered to your cabana.
Located on the opposite side of Saung Purbasari, Café Burangrang is a lakeside building with a unique interior. You can see the majestic shape of Mount Burangrang from this lovely place. This café is most ideal for a relaxing chat with friends and family.
You can get the usual café menu like coffee and chocolate. However, if you ever get hungry here, you can also get some Indonesian and western food. The atmosphere is warmer although you don’t quite get the privacy like in Lutung Kasarung and Saung Purbasari.
Pasar Khatulistiwa literally means Equator Market is the best place to hunt for snacks. Dumplings, meatballs, satay, cotton candy, takoyaki, ice cream, and many more. This is a child snack paradise, so you’d better visit this lovely market at the end of your day.
Another reason to visit this market at the end is that you can actually buy fresh produce to bring home. This marketplace is designed to look like a traditional market, without the overcrowding people, of course.
Dusun Bambu, as a whole, is a comprehensive resort that focuses on entertainment and educations. This park is an ideal family vacation destination. However, turns out you can also enjoy a culinary adventure here.
