Location of Cimahi Waterfall
Cimahi Waterfall is in the area of Kertawangi Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency. This waterfall is about 20 km from downtown Bandung City. The trip from Bandung to this waterfall can be completed in 45 minutes.
This waterfall is located at an altitude of 1050 meters above sea level, and the average temperature ranges from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius. With a fall of around 87 meters, the Curug Cimahi is one of the highest waterfalls in Bandung Raya.
Name of Cimahi waterfall
Curug Cimahi gets its name from the river flowing above it; The Cimahi River. In the end, the river will empty at Situ Lembang and then flow to Cimahi City.
The interesting part about this waterfall is the relatively consistent water volume, both during the dry and the rainy season. Curug Cimahi actually has two layers even though the upper layer is hard to see from below.
The Rainbow Waterfall
In addition to the official name of Curug Cimahi, this waterfall also has another nickname; the Rainbow Waterfall. This name was obtained after the management installed colorful lights on the wall of the waterfall. The lighting play looks spectacular at night because it changes the color of the waterfall to many colors.
After this lighting installation, the operational hours of Cimahi waterfall were extended. Previously, Cimahi Waterfall was open from 08.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. But the installation of this lighting scheme made the operational time extended until 9:00 p.m.

The main attraction of this tourist destination is, of course, the stunning waterfall. However, the journey to this waterfall is also interesting with lush green and refreshing scenery. The management also provides viewing platforms, shelter, adequate parking area, attractive gates, safety fences all the way to waterfalls, benches, and platforms to see waterfalls from heights, prayer rooms, information centers, and guard posts.
